Café website design

Café websites for the morning rush.

Most people check a café's website standing on the footpath or halfway through the commute. They want to know if you're open, what's on and whether they can order ahead. We design café websites that answer all three on the first screen.

Café website design

What a café website has to answer.

A café lives on regulars and passing trade. The website's job is to turn a quick look into a visit, and a first visit into a habit.

  • Open right now?

Today's hours at the top of every page, with public holiday changes set in advance.

  • What's on today

The menu, specials and seasonal changes as readable text, not a photo of the blackboard.

  • Order ahead

If you take orders online, the ordering button is the first thing people see.

  • Easy to find

Address, map, parking, public transport and access information, a tap away from anywhere on the site.

  • Catering and events

If you cater or host, a short enquiry form collects dates, numbers and budget, so you can reply with a quote.

  • Your neighbourhood character

Photography and words that feel like your café, so people recognise the place when they walk up to it.

What we bring

What we bring to a café website.

  • Phones first

Designed for small screens and quick decisions, then scaled up for everyone else.

  • Kept up to date

Send us new hours, menus and specials and we'll update the site, as part of Covers Management.

  • Local search basics

An accurate name, address and hours, clear page titles and structured data, so people nearby can find you.

  • Fast and light

Small, quick pages that load well on a mobile connection, even on a busy street.

Process

From first conversation to launch.

  1. Tell us about your business.

A short conversation tells us what you need.

  2. We build.

We design and develop your website around your venue, brand and customers.

  3. You approve.

Review the finished website and request final changes.

  4. We launch.

    Your new website goes live.

  5. We look after it.

Choose ongoing management, and Covers keeps monitoring, maintaining and improving your site.

Questions

Common questions.

Can the website show whether we're open right now?

Yes. We can show today's hours, and whether you're open at the moment, from your regular hours and the public holiday changes you give us.

We use an online ordering app. Can you link it?

Yes. We link to the ordering service you already use, and make it the most prominent button on the page.

Do we need a big website?

Usually not. Many cafés are best served by one or two well-made pages: hours, menu, ordering and location. Our smaller packages suit that.

Does the website affect how we show up on Google Maps?

Your Google Business Profile does most of that work, but your website should say exactly the same thing about your name, address and hours. We make sure it does, which helps people and search engines trust both.

Let's bring the regulars in.

Tell us a little about your café and what you'd like the website to do. We'll take it from there.
